　　《恶搞之家》主创Seth MacFarlane本人首次真人出演电视剧，他是奥维尔号的舰长Ed，而《神盾局特工》的Adrianne Palicki饰演他的前妻Kelly Grayson，阴差阳错成为奥维尔号的大副。

　　第2季的《陨落星辰》将从Tom被绑架后的3个月开始继续，当Tom在向外星人解释人类为何负隅抵抗的同时，Colin Cunningham饰演的John Pope则暂时成为了领头人。据悉，第2季的回归将不会有前戏“闪回”，所以Tom的回归以及和Pope的关系将可能成为第2季首播回归集的重要内容。
