　　一名宇航员执行任务时神秘失踪，她的丈夫对此展开调查，并同时作为单亲父亲努力照顾女儿。

　　江户时期的日本，流行一种“百物语”游戏：一群人点起一百盏油灯，然后每个人轮流着讲鬼故事，每说完一个故事，就吹熄一盏灯。据说当最后一盏灯被熄灭后，会招来真正的鬼怪。《怪谈百物语》以每集一个怪谈故事的形式，讲述了十一个家喻户晓的神秘灵异故事。
　　能亲眼目睹妖怪怨灵的阴阳师（竹中直人 饰）是每一集故事的联结者，他是大阴阳师的后裔，却生活落魄。他行踪飘忽，所到之处总会伴随着各种各样灵异事件，他总是尽自己的能力去解开谜底、破除恶鬼。某夜，他做了一个可怕的噩梦，第二天发现噩梦竟然成真。随着事件的发展，一个个阴谋逐渐浮出水面。他慢慢发现，所谓的灵异现象，其实正是人们自己一手造成的……

宮城、大阪、北海道?東京を舞台に、時系列を入れ替えながらストーリーが紡がれた「キリエのうた」。岩井が手がけた脚本は時系列に沿って執筆されており、今回はこの脚本と初期編集版をもとに全10話、5時間半超えのドラマが制作された。 　　「路上のルカ」には、主人公キリエと夏彦のシーンや、キリエが楽曲「幻影」を歌唱するシーンなどの未公開映像を収録。岩井は「『路上のルカ』は『キリエのうた』のそれぞれのエピソードをじっくりたっぷり描いていて、物語の向かって行く先は一緒でも、まるで違う体感、読後感の作品になりました」とコメントした。
